What and how to eat for your body can be so confusing. Once you - TopicsExpress

What and how to eat for your body can be so confusing. Once you have figured out that you should be eating a bit of everything and you have given this a shot, sometimes you can find that you still just don’t feel right. You may still struggle with low energy after a meal or get a sore stomach after eating. There is no blanket meal plan for everyone. What might work for one person, may not work for another. Some people find their body responds well to high fat, they are energized and function well. Where as others find that having higher carbs works well for them. Often this takes a little time to figure out. The best and most simple way to approach this is to try the food and listen to your body. It will tell you. For example start your day with an omelette with vegetables and leftover chicken.. Give it an hour or so and see how you feel. Do you feel bloated? Low in energy? Or do you feel energized and your stomach feels good? This will be an indicator on how your body responds to high protein/fat. The next morning try having oats with maybe a boiled egg. And do the same thing. How does your body respond to the higher carbs? I have spent this entire year doing the above with all food groups and it has taken a long time to really figure out what my body prefers. I now know that my body responds well to a diet with high fat and protein, lots of veges, and less carbs and dairy. This does NOT mean I cut them out. I just know that I time them at certain periods of my day and don’t have them as often as others might. So if you feel you are eating all the right things but you still just haven’t quite figured out what is best for you. Try different foods and pause to listen to your body. It will definitely tell you what it likes. This can be a little daunting and confusing so please feel free to message me if you would like to work out a plan best for you.
