What are THE NEW REVELATIONS given to humanity by God? Find out here... (Book Excerpt #39…Note: this is a passage from the book “The New Revelations.” It is a dialogue between a simple human being, Neale Donald Walsch, and God. This excerpt picks up where the last entry left off. For purposes of continuity, daily reading will prove very helpful.) NEALE: Oh, wow, I’ve never had things explained to me that simply before. Will you elaborate on this just a little for me? GOD: The purpose of the World, the reason for its having been created, is to provide a contextual field within which you may achieve an awareness of your own Divinity. Part of the way that this may be accomplished is through observing the Outer Expression of Divinity that Life presents, provides, and produces. Yet do not confuse the two. For the Expression of Divinity is not your Experience, but the Experience of something or someone other than you. And when you make that experience your experience, you substitute the Outer for the Inner. In so doing you move further from the power of Divinity within you, and give your power away. This, no true avatar or master will ever request or require you to do—nor will they even allow you to do it of your own accord. Beware, therefore, of those who prepare a place and a way for you to pay them homage. NEALE: Ah! That is what is meant by the saying, “If you see The Buddha walking down the street, run away from him.” GOD: Yes. If it is so obvious from the way that people are treating him—and from the way that he is allowing people to treat him—that he is The Buddha, then he is not The Buddha, for The Buddha would never allow others to think of him or to treat him as if he were more special than they. Those who govern you in the outer world sit in the highest seats, so you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They create heavy burdens and place them on the shoulders of people, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. And those who claim to be teachers of the highest spiritual law, but do not live it, can likewise be easily identified. Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their robes wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets, and the most important seats in the synagogues and churches and gathering places of all kinds; they adore being greeted in the marketplace and they encourage others to call them Father and True Parent and Highest Teacher and Master and Rabbi and Prophet. Yet you are not to be called ‘rabbi,’ for there is only one rabbi, and that rabbi is in your heart. And you are not to be called master, for you have only one master, and that master is in your soul. And do not call anyone on earth your spiritual `father, or ‘true parent,’ for you have only one Spiritual Father/Mother God, the Source of All Creation, and you are all children of that One God, brothers and sisters and equal offspring--One with The One That Is. Nor is anyone to be called your highest teacher, for you have one highest teacher, the Divinity within you—which means the wisdom and the knowledge and the truth that is you. There will be others who may instruct you about how to find this Highest Teacher within you, and that person may be called “a” teacher, one of many who will come to you during your lifetime to remind you of Who You Really Are. Yea, even you, yourself, may call yourself a teacher, or may be called a teacher by many others. Yet should you choose this form of service to humankind, do it with humility, for whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted. I tell you this: the greatest among you will be recognizable, for they will be servants. NEALE: You mean, there is no such thing as a Highest Teacher or a Divine Being to whom we should pay homage? You mean that Moses and Jesus and Muhammad were no more special than anyone else? GOD: Let’s put that in the reverse. Everyone else is as special as Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. NEALE: That’s a very daring thing to say. Saying something like that could create trouble. I could be killed for saying something like that. That could be called apostasy. I could have a fatwa put out against me, calling for my death. GOD: Yes, you could. NEALE: I don’t mean to dishonor Muhammad by making a statement like that. GOD: Yet how could that be construed as dishonoring Muhammad? It is what Muhammad’s followers say that people should do.. NEALE: What? GOD: Muhammad’s followers say that all people should strive to be as special as he. They call people to that journey. That is what the Hadith is all about. Through it, the followers of Muhammad use his life as their template. NEALE: People may say that they are modeling their lives after Muhammad, but they don’t say that they have duplicated his life. It is blasphemy to say that we are as holy as Muhammad. It is heresy to claim that we are as special as Jesus. It is the height of spiritual arrogance to imagine that we are as wise as Moses. GOD: Is it? Did Jesus not say, “I and the Father are one,” and “Those who hear the word of God, and do it, are my brothers and sisters”? NEALE: Maybe, but being brothers and sisters does not mean that one brother cannot be more special than the rest. GOD: Ask a mother which of her children is more special. And did Jesus not say of his own miracles, “the works that I do shall you do also; and greater works than these shall you do”? NEALE: Yes, but he said that about those who believe in him. “He that believeth in me,” he said, shall do these things, and greater still. GOD: Meaning, “if you believe that I am the Son of God and can do these things, you can do these things too,” yes? NEALE: I suppose it could be interpreted that way. GOD: Jesus was setting an example. So was Muhammad. Masters have always set such examples, encouraging others to follow their lead, to live as they have lived, to be as they have been. All Muslims seek to emulate the life of Muhammad. All Christians seek to emulate the life of Christ. All Buddhists seek to emulate the life of Siddhartha Gautama. Do you not believe that you would do well to emulate the lives of your greatest spiritual masters? NEALE: Yes, I suppose I do. GOD: Well, to “emulate” means “to strive to equal or excel.” Now, look at the last two words in that last sentence. Look at them. Do you understand their implication? Now would it not be the cruelest hoax of all to encourage you, in one breath, to do that, and in the next breath declare that it is impossible? NEALE: I never thought about it that way. GOD: Well, think about it that way. For I tell you this: A true master is not the one with the most students, but one who creates the most masters. A true leader is not the one with the most followers, but one who creates the most leaders. A true king is not the one with the most subjects, but one who leads the most to royalty. A true teacher is not the one with the most knowledge, but one who causes the most others to have knowledge. And a true God is not one with the most servants, but One who serves the most, thereby making Gods of all others. For this is both the goal and the glory of God: that His subjects shall be no more, and that all shall know God not as the unattainable, but as the unavoidable. NEALE: Oh, I love that! “God is not the unattainable, but the unavoidable.” That is an extraordinary statement. GOD: You consider it extraordinary only because you have been told that the opposite is true. You have been told that you cannot attain godliness, and that you certainly should never claim to. Yet is it not true that the Masters whose teachings many of you follow have done exactly that? NEALE: Yes. GOD: And have they not encouraged you to follow their example? NEALE: They have, yes. GOD: Then why would you declare it apostasy or blasphemy to do so? NEALE: I don’t know. ================================== To be continued... ================================== Visit CWGConnect if you wish to personally connect with Neale and ask any questions or discuss this material in depth. (NOTE FROM NDW SUPPORT: The above excerpt from The New Revelations represents but a few of the hundreds of pages of world-changing words from God that Neale believes every world leader, every spiritual authority, every economic figure, and every concerned citizen would benefit enormously from considering and embracing. Neale encourages your reading of this entire book, in tandem with The Storm Before the Calm, right now, as these two texts offer insights to humanity directly from the Mind of Divinity, intended to turn our planet’s people from the path of self-destruction.)
