What are the hills Good Cause will die on? Read on... Single Mom’s Spa Day :: All moms but especially single moms are unsung heroes in our community. We believe no single mom should ever celebrate Mother’s Day alone or under appreciated. At Good Cause, every year we celebrate single moms by providing them with an all expense paid spa day. From hair trims to massages to make up application to manicures, we want to do for moms what they typically cannot do for themselves. Most of the mothers come from local shelters, crisis pregnancy centers and other facilities. We provide a fun filled time for all of our moms children while they enjoy their spa day. Everyone served through our Spa Day services are encouraged to pay the good deed forward by serving at the next event. Please email [email protected] for more info. Drop & Shop Giveaway :: The most effective way to place the essential items needed to raise children in the hands of deserving parents is through our ultimate free giveaways. Four times per year we make big pushes in our community for donations of new and used baby and children’s clothes, shoes, toys, books and baby equipment. No one in need is ever turned away. We have provided everything needed for families with children after fires destroyed all of their belongings to what was needed for brand new moms coming home from the hospital, we make every effort to put the right resources in the hands of moms to successfully raise their children. Everyone helped is encouraged to pay the good deed forward by serving at the next Drop & Show and/or by paying forward any items your children have out grown. Ignite Mentoring Program [Coming Soon] :: With hearts of compassion, the unwavering want for change and the goal of making a difference in the lives of young people, the idea of the Ignite Mentoring Program was born. This program is designed to incorporate vocational interests with mentoring relationships for youth in the bayside communities. A small group of tenacious folks has been charged with developing and implementing the plan. So, with dedication and determination, the Ignite committee has been working tirelessly to make this dream a reality. Currently, we are in the stages of identifying individuals who are willing to use their time and talents to assist in creating this one-of-a-kind vocationally-based mentoring program as well as secure a facility. No child in our sphere of influence who qualifies for our services will go without gifts during the holiday season. Because we believe, its better to give than to receive, we create multiple opportunities for people to volunteer and give during the holidays. From our annual Community Christmas Party to our annual Presents with a Purpose Drive to our Blue Barrel initiative, we witness our community expresses a level of generosity for each other unmatched with any other time of the year! We are prepared to receive momentary donations all year round as well as launch our Toy Drive in October.
