What are the main things going on in my life that are currently my biggest excuses that are keeping me from becoming a better more healthier me? I work the night shift from 2.00pm - 10.30pm I dont have time to prepare my meals I work an office job What have I done? I work the night shift from 2.00pm - 10.30pm In the first three months of my weight loss journey I was training every morning at 6am. It wasnt too bad because it was warm and it didnt play too much on my asthma. When the Winter hit well... We all know what happened there. Since I work the evening shift I am not able to make the group sessions that are usually at 6pm/6.30pm or 6.45pm with the rest of the ladies, sometimes I would find I was using my annual leave just to make it to these fun evenings. But, you only have so much leave. I have now invested in a membership with Iron Will Training, 3 PT sessions a week and access to any of the group trainings for a reasonable monthly fee. The trainer Dave Nanai has offered to help me by running my PT sessions straight after work so it frees me up to have a sleep in before work and allows me to work on my Challenge admin plus help Mum and Dad around the house. Now, where are you going to find someone who is willing to open up their gym to cater to your shifts? WINNING. I hope that when I get smashed in the evenings it will also help my INSOMNIA I seem to have almost every night/early morning. I dont have time to prepare my meals Realistically, I dont always have the time to prepare my meals or I dont have the money or even the containers to stack up the meals I want for the week. I live with my Parents, two younger siblings, two nephews, older sister and cousin so if there is protein bars, yoghurt, yummy fruit salad or prepacked dinners I can guarantee they will be gone in no time. (PS: We have a six bedroom house so no one needs to call anyone to report us for an overcrowded house. Hahaha) Yesterday I had a discussion with our beautiful Café lady. I have explained to her my current goals and asked her to please help me. They provide $5.00 dinners that could feed two and its fresh. Instead of the potatos, the kumaras, the rice/pasta I have asked for a side of meat and a bowl of garden salad to be prepared with my dinners. She was more than happy to help and we have started this today. If I ask for nuggets, fish and chips or a custard pie she will bounce me. This way I can have my porridge in the morning, snack on whatever fruit I have available, sandwich for lunch if Im lucky and then have my yummy dinner before 7pm. WIN WIN. Dave is working on an eating plan to help my weight loss process so I will be sure to keep you all updated on how we do :) I work an office job Today, I cleaned up my workspace and raised the legs to my computer so I can stand while I work. If you have flat feet like me youre not going to be able to do this the whole day, but if you make the effort to do this as much as you can instead of sitting on your ass for the whole 8 hours (practically your whole day) it will make a difference! We have re-instated SQUAT-A-CLOCK for every hour with my lovely crew at work and fruit/water is what we have lying around pretty much most of the time. I hope this helps someone who might be facing the same kind of challenges, if you want a night training buddy reach out. One of our gorgeous readers saw my post where I wrote to myself and is starting her journey with me this evening. I AM EXCITED to see where these next few evenings will lead the two of us.
