What are the types of environment?>>First one is physical environment, second one is social environment, third one economic environment an the fourth one is aesthetic environment, Now lets understand these concept more comprehensively that means what is physical environment, What are the components of physical environment, like that social, economical and other environments Types of Environment So lets start what is physical environment, Physical environment consist of atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere, that means all the water bodies and greenery, the sunlight, air.. that means which we can touch and we can feel around us, these comes under the physical environment. Generally man used to derive his amenities from the physical environment. What are these amenities, like sunlight, sunlight is an amenity and air, we are breathing air, that we are taking from atmosphere, so these are all the thing that comes under physical environment and existence of human life is depending on this physical environment. So the components of this environment as already we discussed, the trees, stone or the rock structure, the water bodies around us, the forest , the sunlight, all these comes under physical environment , is it clear. Then we are coming on to the next one i.e. the social environment, this we have to understand more clearly. Generally people feel strange when we are talking about the social environment, what is this social environment, generally people believe that environment means all the surrounding only and we feel how this social environment comes under this concept. First of all what is this social environment. What things comes under social environment is our first question. So here social environment consists of the population , culture, life style of the people, density of population etc., here I want to tell you some connection between our social environment and general our physical environment say festivals, the culture and festivals comes under social environment , how it is related with physical environment, for example if you are taking any festival like Holi or Sankranti or some festivals which are celebrated either in the north India or the South India, they are related with harvesting season, generally the Holi is celebrated after the harvesting season i.e. the farmers are celebrating the good harvest, what they received from the nature. So same way the Sankranti festival which is highly celebrated in south India mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu states, why this Sankranti is celebrated this is also the festival which is celebrated after the harvest that means the people are celebrating good harvest , good profits inn the form of this Sankranti festival. So like this our social environment like our culture, our life style, these are related with physical environment. So once again I am repeating what are the social environment, our culture and our lifestyle and population , the density of population , these things comes under the social environment. what is this economic environment>>production, production of goods, consumption, consumption structure, employment levels and their level of demand, price levels, these are all factors of production, these are all comes under economic environment. But this the point where we have to concentrate more because this economic environment is closely related to the physical environment how? Let’s understand this point, Say if we are talking about production of some goods, the raw materials are produced and are taken from the nature, we are producing goods those are all supplied to the consumption, consumption sector means nothing but we the people are called as the consumption sector so here we are consuming those goods and in the same way this physical environment is supplying us this amenities so what are this amenities as already we discussed in the first concept amenities means the sunlight, water, air what we are taking from the nature so here the physical environment on side it supplying raw materials to the production and on the other side it is supplying the amenities to the consumption. Then in the production sector and in the consumption sector what are the waste generated that’s again we are sending it to the nature so here the physical environment on one side is supplying raw materials to the economic environment and another side the physical environment is taking the waste whatever is generated in the economic environment so fact to say this economic environment and physical environment are closely related and our further lessons, what is this environmental economics , what are the concepts we are going to study in this environmental economics for all those questions this is the center point. The relation between economic environment and the physical environment.what is this aesthetic environment? >>Aesthetic environment means it is a natural scenic beauty by seeing which the people get some sought of pleasure. For example if your seeing some beautiful beach area or mountains or hill areas generally we feel pleasure, we feel happiness, so those type of natural sceneries areas, these are all comes under scenic beauty, but you know what is happening, you will excessive expansion of economy and excessive extraction of natural resources from the nature, this aesthetic environment is destroying, that means people are losing a chance to get a pleasure from the nature. So these are all the four types of environment. Glossary : Environement and Ecology>>Environment: Environment, is a term that encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally on Earth or some region thereof. Ecology is the interdisciplinary scientific study of the distribution and abundance of organisms and their interactions with their environment Ecosystem An ecosystem is a natural unit consisting of all plants, animals and micro-organisms (biotic factors) in an area functioning together with all of the physical (abiotic) factors of the environment Economic system means it is a way in which a county is producing distributing and consuming its wealth. Production sector means where the goods and the services are produced, Consumption sector means where the produced goods are services are consumed, Positive economics means which tells the things as it is that means if a person purchases low quantities when the price is more you know that it is the law of demand, then what is this normative economics or normative science means which tells the things ought to be Normative economics tells things or to be what is the next better way it should exist Approches to Economic Development : Questions >>Q1.
