What are you doing this weekend? Dont let the rain in the forecast - TopicsExpress

What are you doing this weekend? Dont let the rain in the forecast (Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning) dampen your spirits. Here are five ideas to get you started: 1. Take in a show. Stage Coach Players production of the courtroom drama 12 Angry Jurors has performances at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Stage Coach Theater, and the Beth Fowler dancers will be Dancing Through the Decades at 2 and 7 p.m. both days at the Egyptian Theatre. 2. Feast on a funnel cake. The summer festival season kicks off this weekend with Malta Days, on North Fourth Street in Village of Malta Community Page. Check the Town Crier in print or online for a schedule of live performances and activities, including live music, car show, carnival, and animal show. 3. Get crafty with your empties. At 11 a.m. Saturday, Sycamore Public Library will host an upcycling project to turn old wine bottles into practical planters. Not your thing? There will be a musical comedy show (featuring music on spoons) at the library at the same time. 4. See Elvis. The Sycamore Moose Lodge will host a show by impersonator Ronnie Vegas at 9 p.m. Saturday. 5. Spring Into Fun. From 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, Pioneer Park in Hinckley is the place to be for a car/truck/tractor show, kite demos, pancake breakfast and barbecue lunch.
