++What camera do you use for vlogging? The summer vlogs have produced a spike in questions about my vloggy cam so I figured Id answer quicky style here, then maybe make a detailed viddy later.. (lemme know if you want a viddy on it) I use the Sony RX100 which is a small pocket cam that shoots fantastic video as well as pretty sweet 20mp stills as well. Some of the key features worth mentioning in the RX100. -1 sensor (crazy in such a small body) -1920X1080 @ 60p (great if you want to slow stuffs down in post) -Image Stabilization (best on the market right now! Go Sony!) -Battery Life (One battery will shoot almost all day) -0 fails (the camera never skips a beat, drops a frame, quits, etc..) THAT BEING SAID!!! The Motherfbeepking Sony RX100 MKIII just came out and DAMN IT, ITS a solid UPGRADE.. (now accepting donated cams for testing purposes ;P Key features that 1up the original RX100? -50mbps XAVC S vs 28mbps AVCHD (XAVC is a pro codec) The S is a slightly slimmer version but will produce near lossless compression for viddy, yo!! -BUILT IN ND! Whats ND? Neutral Density filters. What does it mean? It means you can now shoot with very shallow depth of field in brightly lit situations to get that juicy bokeh everyone likes. 3 steps of ND as well. Zing!! -Built in OLED VIEWFINER! Motherfbeepker, Sony! Nothing like putting your eyeball up to a proper viewfinder for shooting stills! -Clean HDMI output! This means you can record to an external capture device without losing any quality! -24mm on the wide -vs- 28mm on the wide.. The wider the better yo! Anyways, you should probably get one so I can live vicariously through your superior video and lovely wide angle images.. Grrrrr amzn.to/1iWNRsD
