What can be said of 2014? What a wonderful, frightening, white-knuckled time of growth it has been! Our move to Knockemstiff and Castle Housenberg began in 2013, but this time last year we were sure that we had lost out to another bidder. Yet here we are – on the doorstep of 2015 able to say that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This year for Christmas we can afford only an update, our thanks to so many who have carried us along the way, and a wish for far more real face-to-face moments and fond memories with those special people in our lives. We have been given so much – and at the most frightening times we always encountered the most graceful generosities – and we wish deeply that we could give as we’ve been given. It is humbling and comforting to know that we are genuinely loved and cared about. Of all the lessons we have learned this year that, by far, is the greatest of all. As we look forward to 2015, we have settled into our new life as well as possible – the occasional surprise here and there just to keep us on our toes. There is so much left to do, but with so many of the little frustrating fires behind us, here and there we are slowly seeing sprouts of the dream we have for our new life. This is exciting stuff! So many of you have done so much – often far more than you will ever know. Encouragement, understanding, patience, faith, opportunity, and financial help – it would be impossible to quantify it all. Weve been overwhelmed by it! While we have nothing to offer please know that you have made this a very special Christmas for us – one we will remember forever (and might actually pine for) as we become more comfortable. We love you all and we love each one of you. May this truly be a season of peace.
