What company do you keep? Life is an interesting journey full of triumphs and despair. As human beings we are not machines we deserve to rest, hence end of year leaves and breaks so that we can go and re-energize, by meeting friends and family including going on holiday. In the midst of all these we should remember that we are an average of the company we keep, our status quo reflects who we spend our time with; this applies across the board whether its business, relationships or in ordinary life. The people we keep company with understand our dreams and are in a position to support our dreams or squash them, whatever they say in regard to our dreams will directly or indirectly influence our decision as part of our company. Our growth depends on the information that is presented to us/come across/discuss with our colleagues or friends and how we act on it, that’s why exposure has always been a good teacher. Therefore our potential to grow depends on the people we spend time with. If we spent time with people who discuss investments, stock, and conventional business our thinking gets inclined along that line. Most of the time we share ideas with people that we spent time with and expect feedback from them, it is this kind of feedback that will influence our way forward. Let us guard against the pessimistic friends who will always see ½ empty glass in all our efforts. In business one needs to be confident, positive and bold. Therefore let us choose optimistic friends, those who are more informed and insightful. That’s why we have to choose our company wisely. Networking is key in business, let us develop serious business relationships, not just multi-level marketing opportunities; but with people who know our business IQ and who appreciate our business endeavor and can be a bridge to connect us to people we want to meet. Friends trust friends before they can trust a stranger. It is easier to trust a referred friend than a stranger.
