What did I do with my brains today. I seriously must have left them in bed when I woke today. I figured that I would make a nice Lunch for my mom who is in the Nursing Home. I do try to do this every once in awhile, when I tend to have extra funds, or, like now, The Garden provided me with most of the meal. So anyways. I am making some European Style Cabbage & Noodles. ( mom being part Ukrainian & Polish... (for those whom I know, who would gladly insert their .01 cents into this conversation. HUSH UP!!!) in any case. you boil the cabbage, cook the noodles, then combine them with onion, and a few other delights. then you toss it into the oven, till the Cabbage breaks down, keep it covered with the butter through out cooking. Here is the Jest of my HERE IS YOUR SIGN moment.... I opened the stove, to toss the cabbage and noodles, (so as not to burn it). AND I, In My Infinite Infallible Wisdom. Actually Went and Grabbed the SUPER HOT GLASS HANDLE Without a thought that Iw as going to be Burned. Alas, You can only Imagine what wonderful words came out of my mouth in the moments I was getting the ice pack for my fingers. not to mention me repeating out loud. I DID NOT JUST DO THAT. NO I DID NOT TRULY DO THAT
