What do raptor biologists do? This video shows Peregrine Fund biologist David Anderson in a Golden Eagle nest in eastern Oregon. The eaglet is raised out of the nest in a backpack so it can be banded at the top of the cliff by other biologists, then lowered back again and placed gently in the nest. David volunteered as a climber on a cooperative study with US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Geological Survey and the Oregon Eagle Foundation.
