What do you need? The Scripture: Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11 The Message: Isnt it just like God to provide us just what we ask and just what we need – not want, but need? We need daily bread! Oh how my attitude and thoughts can change at a drop of a hat, as they say, when something or someone frustrates me. Yet I can ask Him to provide His daily bread to me and I immediately feel lifted. I sense His power and strength and am revived again. What daily bread do you need today? Is it a word of encouragement? Is it a financial need? Is it a new job? Is it healing for physical or emotional wounds? Is it salvation for family, friends or co-workers? Is it confirmation or something you need from the Word of God to indwell in your inner being? Whatever your daily bread is, God provides. The words, give us our daily bread are not a selfish prayer if its to ask God to provide what we need to spread His truth and love. God wants us to be the best we can be for His glory. Are you being daily bread for others? Are you taking time to minister to the needs of those around you? Its OK if you are the one that needs replenishing, just ask God to provide what you need for today. I am in awe at how God continues to provide just what I need each day and He is so wonderful that He realizes some days, I need moment by moment feeding. Today could have been a day of “worry” due to taking standby flights on two different airlines for my husband and me. Dave was able to leave this morning and the airline, security, and all things fell into place for him to depart. I am on standby for later today, so I am asking God to provide again a slice of daily bread. Bread or worry? I choose bread. His Word is powerful and it sustains me as I walk through my journey with Him. Are you receiving the daily bread God has provided just for you? Do you need just a crumb or the whole loaf? He knows our needs and will provide, are you willing to ask? Today I felt I had started off using a whole loaf, but He reminded me He can give me all I need and is always available, I just have to ask and allow Him to provide. God bless.
