What does an Account Manager do at BWD? As an Account Manager you will be responsible for developing and maintaining profitable and mutually beneficial relationships between BWD and its clients. Key Responsibilities: - Working on the digital accounts for clients, with the opportunity to expand as the team and client portfolio grows - Building strong working relationships with clients, external partners and suppliers while delivering against tight timelines and budgets - Owning the delivery and quality of digital projects for clients based on deep technical understanding of the digital landscape, trends and opportunities - Quoting, billing and achievement of all campaigns within client budgets - Negotiating and managing contracts - Managing client expectations - Effectively applying digital understanding to the creative process - Overseeing creative delivery - Identifying client growth opportunities - Sales and effectively growing client relationships - Understanding and interpreting of Clients’ business and requirements - Strategic input at a senior level and understanding of strategies developed for Clients - Achievement of agency budgets - Sound financial management of account Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills: - 0-2 years digital agency experience as an Account Manager / 6 months -2 years digital experience as an Account Manager working in agency is a plus - Comprehensive understanding of online, including search marketing, digital media, platform development, advertising, CRM and emerging technologies is essential - Ability to manage and effectively deliver on multiple campaigns/projects with fast turnarounds - Great interpersonal skills - Experience in stratgically analysing and solving clients business problems - Planning skills - Presentation skills - Experience with managing budgets - a bit of a number cruncher - Understanding of various digital platforms and products - Post-matric diploma, degree, qualification in marketing communications or business – a plus Key Attributes/Competencies - Good command of both written and verbal English, including business writing ability - Display a strong sense of initiative - Attention to detail - Ability to work under pressure - Good numerical ability - Pleasant manner - Ability to take accountability for tasks - Have a sense of urgency
