What does it mean to be a priestly people or a spiritual people? Clearly neither Yahweh, God nor Allah is the true spiritual center of the universe. At best we can call these tribal gods that promote the self interest of a particular group of people - not that of humanity in general. Moreover, even within the traditions associated with these tribal graven images there are multitudes of divisions and animosities. Nor would I say that capitalism is that god either, nor science. Truly, the main god that appears to rule all humans is Mars. Every human endeavor is turned to worldly advantage for us against them. How is it that so many of us aspire to the spirit and then pervert whatever spiritual insight we gain to some material concern? What does it take to break into the realm of the spirit and source of creation? How can we manifest the spiritual truth that is the source of all?
