A best friend, to me, is someone who you can always be yourself around, who you can always talk to about anything at any hour (many 3 am phone calls on both parts for me can attest to that). You can always trust them, no matter what, to be honest with you, when a regular friend might lie to try and flatter you. They shouldnt be afraid to tell you the truth, just because you might not like what they have to say. A best friend should be around when you need them, but more importantly, around when you dont. They can tell when something is wrong, even when you have your other friends fooled. There are no limitations on the number of best friends either. Its not an exclusive job.
