What happened today at highway 126 need to be investigated. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police who serve the crown have violated the worse act done to our women and children and the only answer they gave us when we asked them "what did they do wrong?" was "we got orders!" They need to answer why they arrested and handcuffed a Migmag woman doing a scared ceremony and a Woolistookawik Youth standing where he was told to stand. They knew the ceremony was closing and they still took a Migmag grandmother and her drum and walking stick and handcuffed her and chucked her in their paddy wagon. They disrespected the relationship we as Migmag and Woolistookawik Nations have with the crown by violating any trust we have with the crown or who gave the orders and what orders? Was it the Federal government? or the Provincial government? When did we in Canada start to arrest people doing a scared ceremony, especially a grandmother? Who gave such orders?
