What happens, If Congress divides the state? 1. Congress must take a final decision, if it wishes to win some seats in Telangana. 2. Congress has no second option, except formation of Telangana with Hyderabad as capital and also with ten districts. Any deviation from this will spoil the Congress election arithmetic’s. 3. Except accepting Hyderabad as transition capital for 3 to 5 years, Centre may not consider any infringement on Telangana State. TRS may be pressurised for merger with Congress and KCR may fall in line. 4. If Congress chooses Telangana, there will be heavy political fallout in Seemandhra. Congress has to prepare itself to deal with the consequences. 5. Congress may have to announce a fatty package for New State and its capital. And also may have to give a generous economic package to Rayalaseema and Uttarandhra to neutralise the emotions. For that Centre may share revenues from Hyderabad for four to five year to build the New State and also Centre may have to allocate additional funds for New State. These steps may pacify the people to some extent. 6. In spite of all these steps political fallout will not stop. All MLAs from Seemandhra may resign. Congress might, either accept resignations and prepared to lose the Government or put Assembly in suspended animation and complete the state formation process. 7. If Seemandhra MLAs further presses for resignations, Congress may opt for dissolving the Assembly and conducting elections in two new states simultaneously along with Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Delhi and Mizoram in November-December. 8. Already Congress high command is silencing the leaders once who vouched for Samaikyandhra. Kavuri, Sheelam, Chiranajeevi, Purandeswari, Raghuveera Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana, Dharmana Prasadarao playing lie profile on this matter. They saying that they would stick to the line taken by high command. 9. Before all these developments, Centre will try to expose TDP and YSRCP I the eyes of T people, pressing for resolution in Assembly on T formation. Politics are not a steel track, never move in a straight line. There may be surprises, Ups and downs. But politics shall reach a point of agreement. The time had come now. - Katta Meetha
