What has happened to DISH tv?? the Arts and Entertainment channel has no arts or entertainment anymore. We used to be able to go there and see symphonies, bands, and real performers and artwork. Now its mostly just trashy shows. The same with the History channel. We used to see history and biographies presented there, with narrators like Hal Holbrook and Edward Herrmann telling us about the presidents and their administrations. We saw many historical movies there too. Not anymore! Just nonsense programs that sound like an alarm clock going off because they are so frequently bleeping content. Even Turner Classic Movies, my safe channel, has gone to foreign films and Silent Sunday. Ok one day a week for silent film fans is great. But when they are followed by a week of subtitles on foreign films, my eyes are finished and so is my brain. What happened to a stream of 3 and 4 star movies by our favorite stars, directors and producers? I have been missing Cary Grant lately. I know I can stay on Hallamark and be entertained. But when I start to see Christmas movies in July, somehow its not enjoyable, especially since I saw them the previous December. After watching an episode of 60 minutes, I saw part of Big Brother. Any of you catch that one? Best I can tell it is a show about some girls who pronounce faces feces and cry and scream a lot. Reminds me of the commercial for Goodnets, Bad Mets for the young ones who sometimes have an accident in bed. I think the lady is trying to say Goodnights Bed Mats and doesnt quite make it. Kinda like Tums Brath Frashers Think yo ! (the modern way to say thank you)
