What has happened to the NHS? I heard on the radio today about a hospital that was at bursting point because it couldnt cope with the amount of visitors to a & e. Is it any wonder? Theres nowhere else to go? Surgeries are booked and closed, home visits dont exist anymore. You dont have a family GP. Booking in advance for an illness that you will have in 2 weeks time, ringing back on a certain day when there are emergency appointments. Paying extortionate parking fees to go to hospital for your radiotherapy or to monitor your unborn child, to visit a sick loved one. I know of someone who had to raise money to buy her son a diabetic monitor - what!? Its not about who works in the NHS either. I am thankful for all of those people who are willing to work and try to care for us - they are overlooked and underpaid , under pressure and over worked. Its not about people coming over and milking our country. We need immigration- we always have and we always will. My grandfather was an immigrant. My brother is an immigrant. Ever considered moving to Oz? That would make you an immigrant-get over it. It upsets me how our older generation are treated. It upsets me how many people who have been brave enough to ask for help wait and wait and wait for their turn. Its always only ever going to be about money.
