What hath the Almighty wrought? Almost everyday since the day the de facto strongman has taken over power in our besieged province, the Antiqueno is being whacked and whipsawed by an unending chain of impunity, harrassment and castigation, and quite frankly to be candid about it, is being spurned and shamed by an indiffferent leadership at the provincial government like he does not exist or breath in these maze of unfortunate and tragic events. Being abandoned and forsaken after being courted and promised the moon and the stars, the Antiqueno is now dropped like a hot potato, marooned and stranded in the quagmire of generational poverty. But as the old saying goes, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. There is a just and all-knowing Creator to put an end to these harrowing pain and sorrow. Only last week, from an unimpeachable source, the Second Division of the Comelec already ruled in the much-anticipated case filed by Atty. Kune Aldon and me against Boy Ex Javier for disqualification borne by his congenital defiance of the rule of law that is a throwback to ancient times. Our source said the verdict was split evenly, with one granting the prayer to unseat the overstaying governor, the other dissenting and the other one abstaining for ressons we could not comprehend. Which is still good for our cause because the case now goes to the Comelec en banc for final disposition. I believe that we have a very strong case against Boy Ex deeply anchored in fact and in law against his gobbledygook of legal niceties and technicalities to wield jurisdiction on the issue of disqualification. Pardon my legal dictum for I am not a lawyer. I only remember that somewhere in that great institution called the Harvard Law School are written, Non sub homine sed sub Deo et lege, which indeed means that it is not by men but by God and the law that we are governed. Sooner than expected the political kingdom of Boy Ex will inevitably crack and crumble with the Cross winning over the Sword in this grim and passionate battle to the finish. What is very vissible now is that his sand castle is starting to flake off not only at the edges but is getting torn right in the middle. Today, it is is now safe to hoist once more the flag of optimism, and no force in our forlorn land will ever succeed again in shooting it down from our hands by a sharpnel of unfolding events. Krruuhhaayy!
