What im about to say might be the realest thing spoken by me... Ok, here it goes. My trip to NYC was career defining. Having the birthplace of Hip Hop rock with me to that magnitude & having LEGENDS tell me I have a long successful career ahead of me, was just mind blowing!! On the long trip home I had time to REALLY talk to a cousin of mines & he told me this.... North Carolina is taking you for granted. Alot of them praise & build up arrogant rappers who arent touching lives like you are. Your performance has gotten top notch. Only a hand full of newspapers/press appreciate your work. You sent your album out to some of the top newspapers & etc, yet they ignored it. That album was some of the best music to come out of North Carolina in a while.. Some of the most well known newspapers writers, couldnt careless about you. They give recognition to everyone except you.. Is it because of your message? What are you doing wrong? You been through it all.. Foster care, homeless & etc but still decided to make music to spread love & touch the world.. You legitimately TOUCH PEOPLES LIVES! Most of your fans are outta state & in other countries. Some of the people who used to rock with you there just randomly stopped once you started getting major press... You try your best to spread a positive message there but only a handful receive it.. They dont care about you at all. You try to get on certain festivals, they dont respond or turn you down each time... Why?? .. Blew, im telling you out of love, you need to move .... I was speechless.. Made me think.. Yea, maybe your right.. I def appreciate the fans & people/press who support me in NC but maybe I need to move back home to Alabama or just out of NC completely. Sometimes you need to remove yourself in order to get to where you wanna be... Not sure if ima do this yet but I think that might be the best move. For sure.... -Paint The Sky,Blew!!!
