What is Absolute Link? - A link which shows the full URL of the page, that includes the transfer protocol, domain name and often a file name. Compared to a relative link, which only shows part of the information. Absolute links are preferred because they preserve the integrity of the website, its content and are less prone to link errors. Absolute links still function even when the document is not located at its typical location, such as when a user saves a page to their local computer.
