What is Goddess-Mother-Nature trying to tell me???? First its a blue jay, named Wrenae...then another smaller baby blue jay. NOW...Today David is in the garage and looks down and finds an unidentifiable furry thing laying at the edge of the garage door. Later, to be seen as an injured, young mother bat with three babies clung to her belly. She is unconscious, traumatized, having seizures. The only thing we can figure is that a cat bought it up to him when his back was turned. He called me to come and remedy the situation. SO...we have four bats in a bird cage...mother is more alert, now....eating a home-brew mixture of fruit juice and goat milk...as she continues to nurse her young. One baby is a flying and hanging on his own. The other two are smaller and very babyish. Mother has an injured wing and very traumatized... probably some head injuries. too. But..she is eating. Our cat that got run over three weeks ago and suffered multiple fractures to her leg. Today, she flung her cast off for the SECOND time and is now BACK at the vets having it reset. Blue jays are good.
