What is HBOT - Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Its Another unscientific, unproven, dangerous therapy for Autism, HBOT is a therapy thats well established for treatment in decompression sickness ( The bends) for deep sea divers..it is not an approved therapy for autism. HBOT involves a chamber,often called a decompression chamber,it was first developed in the 1940s by military ,and pilots and miners have been known to have this condition too. Inside the chamber pure oxygen is administered at pressures 1.5 to 3 times what would be considered normal atmospheric pressure,a session usually lasts about 90 minutes,it has been approved as a treatment for some medical conditions but not for autism.
