What is Kokido Martial Arts? Well Kokido Is the updated system that stems from the Origins of "Bushido" or Ronin. Keeping to the traditional values and branching into the depths of the dark assassination arts. Bushido translates as the way of the warrior, and the warrior of the time in feudal Japan around 1336 were Samurai who lived under a strict code of conduct under the rule of the Emperor, highly trained and skilled in the art of war. The Ronin were also highly trained and motivated Masterless Samurai clan who were often vagrant and disruptive and sometimes actively rebellious. So you had one controlled by the rule of law, and the other lawless and always in conflict with each other either to gain control of land or each other. Kokido translates as the ancient way of inner strength or Ki and like Ki it is a force that can be felt but not seen or heard, with this in mind the system bases itself on stealth and invisibility with skills of the Ronin and the mindset and discipline of the Samurai Warrior. And like the image portraid by Hollywood of the Ninja, The Shadow Warrior gives rise to concept of the Kokido Martial Arts with skill sets equal to the deadliest Masters of Assassination and the realities of the truths contained within this most deadly of Martial Arts.
