What is going on with all of this talk around the internet, about Egalitarianism? Do some people really think this radical movement will work? In case you dont know, Egalitarianism is a radical way of thinking that favors equality for everyone; no one with privilege beyond another. There is one major problem with this way of thinking: People are not equal. Some people are smarter, stronger, faster, more organized, more focused, more capable, etc. This is basically socialism where it has already shown to be a complete failure in Cambodia and North Korea. Capitalism has been shown to work best with human nature. Its NOT a perfect system, but it at least rewards the people who work hard and persevere. It lifts people up and gives them a chance to be who they want to be. If we truly become equal in all ways, we also lose any cultural identity we have left. This includes music, food, dance, language, lifestyles, etc. Imagine a world where everyone is exactly the same (like The Giver). We wear the same clothes, eat the same food, think the same way, heck, even fart the same way. Would be incredibly boring, wont it?
