What is it that we Preach 1 Corinthians 3:21-23, Philippians 1:12-18 It seems as though Paul was teaching in just about every church in town. The divisions were due to doctrine, philosophy, or just personal preference. Sometimes we as Christians seem to think it is our way that makes a difference. This is as far from the truth as you could get. It is a preference for the individual but not as the body of Christ is concerned. In Paul’s travels he crisscrossed with other disciples all the time. That was the way it was then as well as now but not as much. This was the building of the church of Christ. It mattered very little to any disciples as to how the gospel was presented. As long as it was Christ crucified and raised from death on the third day sitting at the right hand of the Father, that was what mattered. But we as fellow believers get bogged down when we let the work of the Holy Spirit get mixed up with what believe. That is why the Holy Spirit came, and that is how a life is transformed. Not changed, but transformed. When we received Christ we were changed from being dead in sin to alive in Christ. The transformation comes from the Holy Spirit. That is where the work takes place, not by us, but the Spirit. If we could have done the work of transforming then there would have been no need for Christ to have gone through suffering that he went through.
