What is it with me,food and sunshine? Take yesterday for instance. I have enough grub in to sink a battleship,so what do I do? I head for the High St. Got parked outside Sparkly Frog and popped in to say hello to Jade. Then up to Stellas got myself two salad rolls and a carton of soup. That was me set up for a little picnic under the Clock Tower. Took one bite and a passerby said Hello the roll was put down and began to have a lovely chat. I was so embarrassed as I could not remember her name.If she reads this I hope I`m forgiven. After she left I took another bite just as I heard Hello Anthony It was Patrycja,my friend from Bloomia. Down went the roll again. She sat with me just as Sandy Smith said Do you mind if I sit awhile? Shortly after Patrycja left saying she`d call around later to my place to visit me for a longer chat. That left me and Sandy. I took another bite when the lovely Karen Dietz looking like a Summer with a thousand july`s wearing a sweet outfit that was enhanced by her beautiful tan. Down went the roll. She sat and we talked. It was such a lovely sunshine day folk were meandering up and down the High St with `good to be alive` looks on their faces. Karen left promising that I can help her finish off a bottle of Tequila. Another bite of the roll and with my mouth full I almost choked. It was the `Now, Blonde Bombshell` herself Helen Hall looking like someone off the set of a Hollywood `Film Noir` Helen girl, nobody but you could pull it off the way you do. Blonde becomes you. Helen left. and I had time to finish the roll or so I thought. A lovely young Girl came up and said `Hi, I`m Rebecca Steel its nice to meet you down went the roll.Rebecca is working in the Dunbar RNLI shop. I will look forward to seeing Rebecca again as it gets nearer Lifeboat Gala Day. When she left I somehow managed to finish the rolls off thinking it was a good job I hadn`t bought hot pies at Peters I would have had to eat them cold The soup though was cold. I drank it and it tasted really nice.Stella could sell it as Gazpacho that lovely Spanish cold soup. All gone, me and Sandy drifted I went to The Food Hamper saw Debz asked her advice on two cakes for me and Patrycja for later. Debz obliged. As I was feeling all summery I asked the boss if he could suggest a nice cool salad. He insisted I tasted before I buy. They all got the nod from me. He filled a container and I was off home. Later Patrycja called She apologized for not wanting to eat as she`d had her meal and couldn`t eat a thing. We had a nice chat and later After she left i looked at the time. the sun is still shining there`s only one thing left to do A swally in the Vollie I went in,Ordered a pint shandy (Das Auto) went in my back pocket for a note. `Nowt` my bankers cards `Nowt` When I go home I always empty notes and cards out of my pockets and In my rush to get out I`d left them. luck would have I had about £3 in loose change. Got my shandy, sat outside to catch the last bit of sun. Sitting out there was Gary and the lads from RNLI laughing, having a good drink with banter to match. When you sit and listen to them it make me think how little and insignificant we are compared to these `Men` At that moment how I wished I had enough to get them a round in. I went home to settle down for the night. The last line in my page a day diary I wrote `Its been another great day here in Sunny Dunny. hite, nite.
