What is known at this point... (I will pin & edit this post as things develop and I will break this post up into separate threads to cover each item as needed.) Game date & place. May 16, Runaway Bay, Gold Coast Proposed minimum training plan (bearing in mind we will have people travelling long distances to train for the week) Sat 9th or Sun 10th May 9am - 4pm. 6pm - 9:30pm Mon, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday nights...with maybe a very light walk-through Friday night. Finding a training venue in May that allows us to do that may be tricky, and we may need to have sessions at different locations - which hopefully we can organise to suit some of our southern & northern players. Could people start thinking about or looking into some options for venues to train at please. Hyde park will probably be out as theyll be busy with their teams. Registration As the vast majority of you are already registered with GA and your respective states, there will be no cost to register. If you are not, the cost may be around $200, but could be less.. i am still awaiting confirmation of that figure. Uniforms We will wear either black or light gold (Sundevils colour) pants. These will be provided by the GQ Ghosts or by yourself if you have them. White jerseys can be supplied by GQ at no cost... I may however hit you all up for $5 to cover any damage done to any jerseys. We also have the option to buy jerseys for the game - we are looking at a max figure of $40-$50 per jersey. We will discuss this at a later date, there is no need to get into that just yet. Protective Equipment I would imagine that you all have your own. If not, you will have to talk to your club about using their gear. If youre REALLY stuck for equipment, talk to me. Other costs There may be other costs involved, but I will be endeavouring to not pass these onto the players. The worst case scenario I will accept is an absolute total administrative cost of $25/player. Coaches Peter Hartley, Jade Wiki Support staff Some of you have offered to help and I will be calling on you to do various things in the weeks & months ahead. We will need game day volunteers, so start thinking about getting people to assist in that way. That will mainly be actioned much closer to the game. Players With all of this in mind, could we please get a roll call of people that are still wanting to be involved. Just comment with an in and your preferred playing positions (max of 4). We need to get a firm idea of people that are definitely playing so that we can start planning team structure.
