What is my platform so far? 1. Dental care to be completely covered under Medicare for every Canadian citizen. (Nobody needs to be still getting Dentures. We have medicine and its an antibiotic called Metronidazole.) 2. Stimulate the local North Okanagan economy through cooperation with various groups. Firstly, we need brainstorming and new ideas. Secondly, to look at creating new businesses and manufacturing in the area. Possible areas of interest could be: Alternative Energy, food processing, manufacturing goods, alternative farming ideas.... 3. Money given to host weekly all ages dances in communities across Canada. 4. That all elected officials volunteer weekly in the heart of the community, attend a weekly coffee hour open to the community and maintain a public diary such as facebook about how they spend their time while at work. 5. More money into all government programs. An investigation as to why the money is not getting to Education and Healthcare for example. 6. To increase voter turnout in the North Okanagan - Shuswap riding by 25%. 7. Limit the importing of cheaper food from other countries which is undermining the local economy. 8. Stop outsourcing for hospital food and laundry for example. Local jobs are for local people.
