What is so disingenuous about this analysis, and others similarly devised, is they never take the GOP to task for their overt attempts to deny people of color, youth, their franchise under the patently thin guise of voter fraud. The GOP knows that if it can deny enough others the right to vote you affect the margins enough to improve the odds you can prevail. Of course, there are those who deny the obvious but the hypocrisy of both Democrats who refuse to confront this reality with that of the GOP who deny this is all so obvious. Southern whites would prefer to deny themselves practically anything if you appeal to their most basic instinct. History proves this. Scorched earth politics work for the GOP and this analysis is anodyne to the point of worthless. Yes, the Dems deserved to lose. The GOP will now promulgate the policies and programs that harm the interests of the very people who voted for them. I just love American politics.
