So THAT’S What They Mean by “Affordable Care” By Thomas DiLorenzo - August 02, 2013 "I recall almost blowing a gasket listening to the lying little weasel, Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland, arguing with my friend the late Ron Smith, on Ron’s Baltimore radio show, over how the “Affordable Care Act” (a.k.a “Obamacare”) was going to REDUCE the cost of healthcare. The reality, and the lesson of all of history, is that anything government touches turns to crap and becomes infinitely MORE EXPENSIVE. For example, just today the Georgia Insurance Commissioner announced that, thanks to “Obamacare,” health insurance premiums in that state are about to increase by as much as 198 percent – for starters. But perhaps I misunderstood what the lying, sniveling, sneaky little weasel, Senator Ben Cardin, was really saying.
