What is the basis for your worldview...even many Christians rather than having a biblical worldview have let the world dictate how they should think, speak and act. In our church this month we are focusing on having a biblical worldview, Ron Bodlander is writing daily devotions to help us focus on the on real truth there is..Gods Word! Enjoy & think about it.... In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you. Exodus 3:14 According to the world we live in, God is whoever or whatever a person chooses Him to be. Some groups say that the Universe is God. Others, that God is an impersonal force or energy that keeps all things in balance. Still others, that God is the Creator of everything, but from the beginning of time, God has simply set the Universe in motion and now watches indifferently as existence and human history develop. There are even those who say that no “God” exists in any form whatsoever. What does the Bible say about God? When asked who God is, what would a Bible believing Christian say about Him? What makes the God of the Bible unique? There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being; the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. What does this mean to us as we live our lives today? The Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, is the full, final, and complete expression of God to man. Through Jesus, we learn exactly what God is like, that He can be personally known, and that we are accountable to Him (John 1:1-18; Hebrews 1:1-3). Love is inherent to Gods eternal nature (1 John 4:8). Jesus Christ, through his life, death, burial, and resurrection from the dead has made it possible for every individual to enter into a personal relationship with God and share in His life. By trusting in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we can each experience the infinite love of God and find the true meaning and purpose for our lives. Throughout this day, let us remember that the almighty Creator cares for each of us with a love that can never fail or diminish. May we show that love to those around us, and proclaim to everyone we meet that there is a living God, and that He loves them infinitely more than anyone else possibly can.
