What is the difference between diplomacy and ground reality? Indian Media has been critical to the way Indian Government has accorded welcome to the Chinese President in the backdrop of Chinese intrusion at the Indian Border. However, our media is silent on Tibetans issue and every time any Chinese Dignitary arrives in India, Tibetans always stage protest against their visit. Similarly, our President has signed an MoU with Vietnam regarding oil exploration on the island that has Chinese occupation. Intrusion in the Indian Territory cannot be tolerated under any circumstances but at the same time, Indian approach towards China is not totally pacific and straight-forward. If they intrude, we allow Dalai Lama to run a parallel Tibetan Government from India. Imagine, if Pakistan allows leader of any Indian Territory to run a parallel government from its soil, what will be our reaction? Hence, Diplomacy is required to find a gradual solution to these problems. Diplomacy has a thrust of the fact, Never say Never.
