What is the training like for an EOD Technician? A total of approximately 12 months of rigorous training begins with nine weeks of dive training at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center. Students receive training in diving physics, medicine, SCUBA, MK16 mixed-gas diving system, Hyperbaric chamber operation, familiarization of the MK21 Superlight surface-supplied hard hat diving system, rubber raiding-craft small boat operation and small team diving integration.
