What is this world coming to...where we as young men and woman can fight for our country but our country fights back against us. I just got off the phone with a devistated family who has only been here at camp lejeune for 2 weeks and have already had their hearts broken. Base animal control took their dog from the owners car and dumped it at the shelter...why you may ask? It didnt start any drama, it didnt hurt anyone, it didnt get out of its yard and it wasnt even barking...but instead. ..because it looked like a pitbull. Where is the justice....when is it time to say Enough is enough. The family rescued this dog a few years back from starvation to the point to where he began eating his own body. The base they lived on classified him as an american bulldog. Said he was one of the sweetest dogs ever but now camp lejeune has demanded a blood test and well he is part pit and apparently part husky. Seriously. ...so its either find a new home or die at the shelter. So we...not only as fellow dog lovers, fellow military personnel but we as people. ..are going to do our best to help.
