What is wrong with Washington state drivers? Let me explain. Ive been the Canadian visiting USA friends and relatives for a long time - decades. In the past, you could always tell the Canadian drivers on the interstates - they were the idiots who sat in the left lane doing 5-10 mph under the posted limit. If you pulled up behind someone and they moved over to let you by, you could damn near guarantee theyd have Washington plates. I just returned from a family vacation to southern Washington, and it appears that American drivers have been picking up our bad habits - and going even more extreme, if thats possible. In a state with clearly posted keep right except to pass laws, why is it that there are six times as many cars in the left lane as there are in the other three lanes combined? And the guy at the front of the line in his pickup truck / trailer combo full of construction garbage, cheerfully cruising along 5 under the posted limit - is the education system really so bad he cant read? How could he get a driving license without being able to read?
