What kind of CHURCH is this? Service begins, the choir and musicians are in place, the congregation sings along or just sits and be entertained; the Preacher of the hour gets up to deliver his/her sermon, the congregation jumps, shouts, dances and allows themselves to be manipulated emotionally by the church ringmaster; the sermon ends, the offering is collected, the benediction is given, and everyone begins to disperse. What’s MISSING in this picture? Where was the ALTAR CALL for SINNERS to come forth to be SAVED? So many churches are just having CHURCH and entertaining people to feel good, collect money, and go on about their business. But church is supposed to be a HAVEN where SINNERS can come to be TRANSFORMED, to get CLOSER to God, to get SAVED!!! If your church never gives altar calls for SINNERS, but everybody feels as though they had GOOD CHURCH – it’s POSSIBLE that no one there is SAVED!!! There’s a HUGE difference between RELIGIOUS and SAVED!!!
