What makes all of us not care about the Ed Snowden leaks? How come we are passive about information clearly showing that the FBI has been spying on Americans without a warrant. Is it because the person bringing up the issue is a Republican? Did you read the last post from Rand Paul about the response from the FBI director? paul.senate.gov/files/documents/071913FBIresponse.pdf Let me just post what the US constitution says in its fourth amendment. "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." It simply means that the amendment guards against unreasonable searches and seizures, along with requiring any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause. Yet... this is happening right now... and there is no outrage... Little by little, the violation of the US constitution starts to look like we are in Kinshasa, Congo. Why do I feel this way? People were asked to stay home after the Boston bombing and no one questioned it.
