What many settler Canadians dont know and cant get their minds around is that all people are entitled to clean land, air, and water. In the Indigenous worldview we value the need to live sustainably in relationship with the earth. We understand the limitations of the economic paradigm that calls for endless resource extraction regardless of the cost for the world we live on. Succinctly, the economic paradigm lacks a moral code. An Indigenous moral code emerges from the need to live on the earth in a good way for all the beings. We all need a clean world - settler Canadians, new immigrants, and Indigenous people. Please stop allowing Canadian nationalism, and the hate the Indian mindset that it promotes, get in the way of your ability to reason well. You need clean land, air, and water just as I do. Let the Turtle Lead.
