What others are saying: “ I had a Compassionate Touch® - TopicsExpress

What others are saying: “ I had a Compassionate Touch® session with a woman who had severe dementia. When I arrived, she was very “busy” with her hands, a seemingly perpetual state. She was scratching her face and picking at her clothes. After about 5 minutes of focused attention and letting her touch my hands in her agitated way, she stopped moving her hands and let me hold one of hers. I rubbed her back slowly and then placed my hand on her heart center and held her. She relaxed and placed her free hand upon her cheek and rested. After a couple of minutes, she opened her eyes, looking at me and her eyes were very clear. I smiled and she smiled. When it came time to close the sessions, I said, Thank you for having me today and she said “Yeah!” and smiled big toothy smile. Then she reached up and very gently kissed my forehead. It was a sacred moment.” Ann Catlin
