What remedies many of the questions about the uniqueness, - TopicsExpress

What remedies many of the questions about the uniqueness, singularity, and / or finality of Christ, is the realisation that such claims have less to do with the definition of God, and much more to do with the definition of humanity, and human nature. When we say that Christ is the only way to reach God we leave entirely open who or what God ultimately is. So too we leave open the role of culture in articulating this Christ and this God - both in Scripture, and in contemporary witness. The singularity of Christ speaks to the singularity of human nature; Christianity argues for a certain claim about human nature (perhaps claims?), one that is to be contested, surely, but faced up to and not shied away from.
