What role does the UN play in conflict? Im having trouble understanding how you can hide rockets in 3 UN run schools (that we know about) in Gaza and have a terror tunnel, used to enter Israel, opening in a UN building but somehow the UN didnt know about it? They do promote peace right? Now the UN repeats casualty numbers in Gaza provided to them by the Hamas run Gaza health ministry. They do have a disclaimer at the end of their reports but you would think that the UN would do proper checks before adding credibility to questionable numbers from a terrorist organisation who wants to win the propaganda war. Israel says that its information is that they have killed: .....at least 253 Hamas operatives, 147 Islamic Jihad operatives, 65 operatives of various organisations and 603 operatives whose affiliation is unknown,.... This might put it into perspective........Its important to bear in mind that in Operation Cast Lead [the last Israeli ground offensive in December 2008-January 2009], Hamas and Gaza-based organisations claimed that only 50 combatants were killed, admitting years later the number was between 600-700, a figure nearly identical to the figure claimed by the IDF.... So back to the UN. What is its role? Why do more media outlets not question why there is a low casualty rate for Hamas combatant deaths? As we saw in the video I posted here a few days ago, Hamas operatives change into civilian clothes to hide their identity. Duh! I question also the Palestinian marchers here who are screaming genocide. Surely they know or suspect those casualty numbers are falsified too. So what is their motive?
