What should you do after class 10th ICSE exam? After 10th ICSE, if you are not interested in pursuing the traditional 11th and 12th classes, you may wish to make a vocational career at school and take up vocational specializations which are available at many though not all schools. You may also pursue Hospitality or hotel management courses like bakery and Confectionery and Cookery, Hotel Reception and Book Keeping, Restaurant and Counter Service, etc; Beauty culture and hair dressing; Garment making; Refrigeration and air-conditioning; Travel and Tourism; Retail sector; Security etc. Also the Department of Technical Education offers 3 year Polytechnic Diploma courses in more than 20 branches of Engineering like Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Communication Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Automobile, Civil, etc.After this Diploma, you can directly join 2nd year Engineering and do higher studies; The Government of India has set up several Industrial Training Institutes ITI’s to impart technical education right after School in different trades like Basic Electronics, Electrical, Fitter, Welder, Lift technology, Fire and Safety, Air-conditioning, etc; Diploma and Certificate courses offered in paramedical sciences also can be pursued. Also you could do some courses in computers. The choices are many. However, we would recommend you to complete your 12th and pursue a graduation in one of the professional subjects of your interest.
