Only white privilege and the bubble that white people live in from Redskins supporters to hipsters parading around in headdresses could possibly manifest such a racist, self centered, euro-centric, mindless, ignorant accumulation of fetishism, cultural appropriation and stereo-type driven bulls$%& as this. How that hell can these people not see that developing your own characterization of another human being to point of fetishism and mockery is not honoring them? I dont go around assuming all Irish people are Leprechauns or all Asian people are Ninjas and Samurais, because Im not a moron. Most people are capable of discerning what they see in TVs and movies as fictional and make believe. There is no way in hell I would see a movie about English people and suddenly speak in that accent and structure my life around stereotypes Ive been handed by entertainment because i think its cool. The same for any other race or group of people. Thats ridiculous. Why is it then, to do that to my culture is completely acceptable to most white people? This is racist and prejudiced in its own unique way.
