What was your answer to yesterdays true or false question? From what I have read using antibacterial soap is unnecessary for good hand washing. Soap and water will do the trick. livinganointed shares that "Overuse of antibacterials can prevent them from effectively fighting disease-causing germs like E. coli and Salmonella enterica. Triclosan, widely used in soaps, toothpastes and deodorants, has been detected in breast milk, and one recent study found that it interferes with testosterone activity in cells." I have also heard that using anitibacterial products only make the bacteria stronger. If you have special health circumstances such as a newborn or someone of higher risk in your home or environment it may be worth using. But under normal circumstances plain soap and water is just as effective.
