What was your first job? Mine was being a stockman at Winn Dixie in MEE-AM-EE on 119th St and 7th Ave for $1.65 an hour in late 1969. . I was in charge of the canned meats (among other things). So, late at night while unloading trailers, I would take some of the expensive canned food and with the help of a shopping cart and a can of Sterno, heat some of it up for myself and co-workers. Back then , the Asst. Manager would put a few six packs of beer in the freezer so after our shift, well, we could drink a little and eat some delicacies. Now days, would be fired and prosecuted for serving alchol to minors. Change..is NOT always good.
