What we decide to do with our past affects our present. Resting - TopicsExpress

What we decide to do with our past affects our present. Resting on what happened in the past is like crying over spilled milk, relying on happenings in the past as excuses for what is happening now is just an immature way of evading responsibility. The secret of standing up to our present challenges is to accept the mistake of the past, by so doing we create an enabling environment for ourselves to seek solution. But if we fold our hands and keep wishing we did what we didn’t or vice versa, it would not only make the problem seem compounded, it will give the devil room to whisper to us. Some of us have made spontaneous decisions as a result of our past for instance a girl who was jilted by her fiancé decides never to have anything to do with men; does it mean she doesn’t want to marry again because she was jilted in the past? Let us learn to mop off the floor of the spilled milk rather than bend over and weep. “There is no past that is too terrible” this is an advice to all of us, no matter the commission or omission you think has happened in your past; let it remain in the past. There is a man who would take you in when you ask him to or when you come to him no matter what you’ve done in the past. For He is standing at the door of your heart knocking if only you would let him in, he would restore the confidence you need to look today in the face and conquer notwithstanding the ugly past; His name is JESUS, accept Him into your life by confessing with your mouth and believe in your heart that if he could forgive Mary Magdalene then your case is not unforgiveable, if he could take back SAUL who persecuted the apostles then He will receive you, the list is unending. Just believe and confess that the past can’t stop you. This is to invite you to worship with us @ HOUSE OF KINGS AND PRIESTS 13 UDEMEZUE STREET ABAKALIKI on Sundays by 8am and Wednesdays by 5pm.
