What were we up to yesterday, besides meeting up with boa constrictors, you ask? We were at the 2014 Environmental Symposium entitled “Moving Toward a Clean, Green City” which was hosted by the City of Jacksonville’s Environmental Protection Board and the University of North Florida Environmental Center. We learned about “tactical urbanism,” the health and economics of the St. Johns River, low impact development, and more. We also mingled with other organizations such as Tree Hill Nature Center (who brought the boa!). Fascinating stuff!
