What will you do if you or one of your loved ones was suddenly taken out of this life today? Have you obeyed Acts 2:38? Have you lived a holy life? Have you renounced the world, the flesh and the devil? Or have you compromised yourself? Have you departed the faith? Have you abandoned long-held convictions for a more comfortable lifestyle? Have you failed to teach your children the ways of Truth, righteousness and holiness? I am convinced that most people live in utter denial of their pathetic spiritual state of affairs. As a Pastor, I have buried enough suicide victims, victims of drug overdoses, drunken accidents, and casualties of sinful lifestyles that I know that it is no pretended, no imaginary risk. Im not hanging you over Hell. God is. It is a very real risk that men and women and young people hazard themselves for day after day after day. Dont take for granted that you will have another opportunity to clean up your act. This may be your last chance. You may not wake up on this planet in the morning. Today is the day of salvation. Now is the accepted time. Dont wait until you stand grieving over an unsaved family members casket to realize that you should have done differently with your life. Dont wait for the hearse to carry your cold, lifeless body off while your soul sinks into the abyss of eternal torment. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, Genesis 6:3. Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him, Joel 2:12-14.
